St George (South):

St George boasts a long, beautiful golden sandy beach, which is said to be the best on the island. There are plenty of excellent bars, tavernas and restaurants running along the edge of this curving beach.

This is an extremely quiet resort ideal for total relaxation. There is a small fine-sand beach (which sometimes has strong currents), a handful of bars and a small choice of shops and tavernas. If after a few days here, more action is required - the buzzing resort of Kavos is 18km away.

Quieter than many resorts on Corfu, St George offers a more 'Greek' experience. With a good selection of tavernas and little bars. Why not try Mad Mike's bar. Lobster is the island's speciality, but it's more likely you'll be offered astakos or salt water crayfish.

St George is one of the quieter resorts on the island; nevertheless, it has a good selection of tavernas plus a couple of music bars.
