Benitses car corfu hire
Tsaki & Benitses:
The beach at Benitses is small and made up mostly of rough shingle and pebbles, and sloping steeply at the water's edge. There are water-based activities available in high season these include paragliding, water-skiing and pedalloes. Sun beds and parasols are available for hire.
There are buses run regularly to Corfu Town, Messonghi and if you are up to it, Kavos! For those who are fit enough there is a well-marked walk up into the hills to see the water springs. Well worth the effort - just to see the wildlife away from all the tourists! Be warned; take some water with you to drink because there are no shops up there! There is also a shell museum, with a large assortment of sea urchins and stuffed fish. There are a few boat trips from the main harbour most days and a speedboat taxi to Corfu Town. The airport runway is a short bus ride away, where you can stand on the cause way which runs only a hundred meters from the end of the runway but remember to duck when the planes land as they do come over very low! Mouse Island is also close by. This is a must for keen photographers.
There Is a varied selection of restaurants ranging from traditional Greek fare to a Chinese restaurant, pizzeria and a creperie.
Benitses has a reputation for its liveliness - so if you are looking for nightlife you may be disappointed. Nowadays, Benitses has returned to a sleepy fishing village with the nightlife revolving around the numerous tavernas in the village. Of note are the two Internet cafes. One is called 'Connections offering a professional pool table, play station two and Internet for an hourly rate as well as low rate international calls.
